I am missing my coffee…otherwise pretty lifelike.

Visiting Normandy, France has always been a lifelong ambition. I was lucky to do that with my son and his Cub Scout troop this year. The books, movies and documentaries about the events of D-Day really cannot compare to physically being there. I have an uncle (still alive) who fought in Europe in WWII and that fact only added to the significance of this trip. With the 70th anniversary of D-Day coming up I feel fortunate, humbled and honored at being there and understanding what was achieved.

I try to give these guys all they need in life but they give each other one thing I can’t and never had: a brother.

""Cyberspace. A consensual hallucination experienced daily
by billions of legitimate operators, in every nation, by children being
taught mathematical concepts… A graphic representation of data
abstracted from banks of every computer in the human system. Unthinkable
complexity. Lines of light ranged in the nonspace of the mind, clusters
and constellations of data. Like city lights, receding…”

A Walk Through the Peak District

Castle. Ghosts. Caverns. Hills. Streams. What’s not to like about a good hike and exploration? Last month I took my son on yet another adventure to the Peak District to explore the area around Castleton, including Mam Tor and Peak Cavern. The result was another few days of father/son time and learning more about England’s amazing history.

I’ve fully converted to using Kanban (visual process management). I only wish I would have done their earlier.

One part of living in London that I have truly enjoyed is spending time with my kids in nature. “A walk through the UK,” as I have called it to them. These photos only touch on some of the scenery we have explored. More important than the scenery are the shared memories we will always have from our trips.
